Set up and use kiosk mode in AVEVA Insight

Kiosk mode in AVEVA Insight serves as an alternative to the embedded link that was available in prior capabilities. This allows you to set up a device to display pertinent information for an extended period of time that you can define. Because a standard AVEVA Insight login expires within seven days for security reasons, being able to define a longer period of time makes the kiosk mode more convenient to use on devices such as an overhead digital billboard without a keyboard.

Kiosk mode is for viewing information only. Like the Viewer user role, you cannot save or delete content when you are using kiosk mode.

To use kiosk mode, you must do the following:

  1. Create an access token for AVEVA Insight using AVEVA Connect

  2. Open AVEVA Insight in kiosk mode using the access token
