Prepare the SCADA project

Prepare your SCADA project for use by Plant SCADA Connector by completing these tasks:

1. Prepare the Plant SCADA runtime system.

2. Select tags from Plant SCADA.

   You can push data to either AVEVA Insight or AVEVA Historian from the versions of Plant SCADA listed below. Steps to select your tags vary, depending on the version of Plant SCADA you are using.

To prepare the Plant SCADA runtime system

• Set "[CtAPI]Remote = 1" in citect.ini file on the computer running the CtAPI Server.

• For a remote Plant SCADA client, enable the server password for security as shown:

  

To select tags from Plant SCADA

• Select the version of Plant SCADA you are running, and follow the corresponding steps:

  • Plant SCADA 2016 or above

  • Plant SCADA 7.30 to 2015
