To review and save the alert
-
On the Summary page, review the details of the alert definition. You may have to scroll to view all the details.
To make changes to a step, do one of the following:
-
Select Edit beside the step information.
-
Select the step name from the stepper along the top of the page.
In the Conditions, Prescriptive Actions or Alert Actions sections, if the list of items is greater than four, the message Showing 4 out of x displays. Select this message to return to the step to view all the items.

-
-
Select Save after fully configuring your alert.
The Save dialog appears.
-
In the Save dialog, select whether the alert should be Visible to only you or your team.
Sharing the alert with your team allows other non-administrative users to see the shared alert if they have access to the asset associated with the alert. If the alert is not associated with an asset, non-administrative users with the access to any (any asset) permission in CONNECT can see the alert.
You can change the visibility of the alert later by editing the alert.

-
When you have finished making your changes, select Save.
If you are an administrator and the target asset is associated with an asset type, you have the option of saving the alert back to the associated asset type, or to this specific asset only.
The option to save to an asset type is only available if you make the alert visible to your team.
If you save the alert to the asset only, the alert will be saved as a unique alert.

If you save the alert to the associated asset type, the alert will be saved to the asset type, and all instances of the asset type. See Associate items with an asset type for more details.
If you save to an asset type, the Alert Name cannot end with a dash (-) or a dash and a number (-123).

Once AVEVA Insight evaluates your new alert condition definition, the defined recipients will begin receiving notifications as the alert condition is met.
Note: There may be a delay of up to 15 seconds before results are generated.
