Creating an data source from a CSV or JSON file involves these steps:

1. Define a CSV/JSON data source. |
This step includes using the AVEVA Insight Data Sources page to create a new data source. |

2. Create a metadata file. |
This step includes creating a CSV or JSON file that includes metadata for your tags. |
|
3. Create a data file for your tags. |
This step includes creating a CSV or JSON file that includes data values or events for your tags. |
|
4. Upload data and/or metadata. |
This step includes using one of two ways to upload your data and/or metadata.(Uploading metadata is optional.) |
