You can use a spreadsheet application or text editor to create or edit an item CSV file.
Note: The maximum data size limit for a single equipment is 2 MB.
The file must have the following format.
Header Row
The header row includes the name for each of the property columns. These columns are different for each item type. As an example, the columns for the equipment CSV file are:
-
Namespace
-
Name
-
Description
-
Location
There must be no spaces in the column heading entries in the header row (for example, "EquipmentState" and not "Equipment State").
Item Rows
A row for each item to be added (or modified).
A sample equipment CSV file is shown below.
Namespace,Name,Description,Location
Austin,Filler 1,Pack Area – Filler 1,Texas/Austin Plant/Pack Area
Austin,Capper 1,Pack Area – Capper 1,Texas/Austin Plant/Pack Area
Austin,Case Packer 1,Pack Area – Case Packer 1,Texas/Austin Plant/Pack Area
Austin,Palletizer 1,Pack Area – Palletizer 1,Texas/Austin Plant/Pack Area
Houston,Filler 2,Pack Area – Filler 2,Texas/Houston Plant/Pack Area
Houston,Capper 2,Pack Area – Capper 2,Texas/Houston Plant/Pack Area
Houston,Case Packer 2,Pack Area – Case Packer 2,Texas/Houston Plant/Pack Area
Houston,Palletizer 2,Pack Area – Palletizer 2,Texas/Houston Plant/Pack Area
If you import a CSV file with only a header row and no rows for items, the file will import successfully with the status message that 0 rows imported successfully and 0 rows failed to import.
