Production counter tag columns

Observe the following guidelines:

  • More than one production counter tag can be assigned to a piece of equipment.

  • The Tag Reference entry must be unique for a piece of equipment, but the same tag reference can be used with more than one piece of equipment.

  • If more than one record with the same equipment/tag reference combination are included in the CSV file, the last one in the file will be used in the model.

  • To remove a tag entry that is already in the model, set Enable Production Data Collection to false.

  • You cannot modify a production counter property tag entry that is already in the model, because entering a different tag reference for a piece of equipment will create a new tag entry. Instead, remove the old tag entry and create a new one with the new tag reference.

For more information about how these tags are used for automated collection of production events, see Automated production event data collection.

    Column

    Description

    Namespace

    This is a required property.

This is the namespace for the piece of equipment to which this production counter tag applies.

    Name

    This is a required property.

This is the name of the piece of equipment.

The piece of equipment that is being specified by the Namespace and Name properties must already exist in the model. Equipment is defined by importing equipment CSV model files.

    Tag Reference

    This is a required property.

This is the tag to collect data from for the named equipment.

    • The tag must be a fully qualified name (FQN), which includes the data source as the first tag component (for example, Austin.Filler1.WP).

    • The tag entry must be valid for data collection to occur.

    • Production counter tag entries are case-sensitive to the corresponding entry in the tag dictionary.

Note: It is strongly recommended that you use only tags with a data change trigger, and not a periodic trigger. This will optimize system throughput and database query response time by minimizing the logging of unnecessary data.

    Disposition Reason

    This is a required property.

This is the disposition reason to use for the production count provided in the process tag value. The same disposition reason can be used for more than one tag for a piece of equipment.
