To connect InTouch Edge HMI to AVEVA Insight via Studio Database Gateway:
-
Run Studio Database Gateway (StADOSvr.exe). When it's running, you'll see the Studio Database Gateway icon,
, in the notification area(far right of Taskbar).

-
Right-click
, and then select Hide. This is a toggle to display or hide Studio Database Gateway.
-
In the File menu, select Online Connections.
-
In New Connection Name, type a name. Select Add.

-
The AVEVA Insight Publisher displays. Sign into your AVEVA Insight account and finish configuring the connection.
Note: If you are developing your project on Windows Server, or if you plan to run your project on Windows Server after you have finished developing it, you might need to turn off Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration (IE ESC) in Server Manager. IE ESC can interfere with attempts to sign in to AVEVA Insight, and adding AVEVA Insight as a Trusted Site will not resolve the issue. When you are done, the new connection is saved in the list of available connections in the Online Connections dialog box.
-
Select Close.
-
Right-click
, and then select Hide to hide Studio Database Gateway.
You can repeat this procedure to create several possible connections in the database gateway, but keep in mind that the database gateway can actually use only one connection at a time. (That is it can connect to only one AVEVA Insight account at a time.) If you run multiple instances of the database gateway on the same computer, all instances will share the same list of connections.
