OEE data properties

OEE data properties allow additional data elements (or fields) to be attached to standard utilization events and production events that are captured and persisted in AVEVA Insight. Typically, users responsible for analyzing equipment OEE will use these properties to group and summarize utilization and production events when they are doing detailed root cause analysis.
-
The OEE data properties that are available to users are defined in the efficiency model by an AVEVA Insight administrator when they set up and manage AVEVA Insight.
-
Operators can manually update OEE data property values on the OEE Data Properties tab on the Equipment Efficiency page as the operational context changes.
Anytime a new utilization or production event is created, the current value of each OEE data property will be appended to the event record for additional context.
Use Case Example
A customer wants to perform some detailed root cause analysis and see a summary of the utilization events that have been logged for a piece of equipment when a particular crew is working on the production floor. The standard utilization event in AVEVA Insight does not contain that type of information (for example, crew information). To satisfy this root cause analysis scenario:
-
From the OEE Data Properties tab on the Efficiency Model page, an AVEVA Insight administrator would create a new OEE data property called Crew Name.
-
From the OEE Data Properties tab on the Equipment Efficiency page, a user would edit the Crew Name property value to reflect the name of the crew that is currently working.
Once the Crew Name property has been populated with a value, all subsequent utilization events will have this information, as illustrated below, until the value is changed (for example, when the next crew begins work).

When OEE Data Property Values Span Events or Change During an Event
Each OEE data property value is in effect until it is changed. So the time frame of a given property value can span one or more events.
If an OEE data property value changes during an event, the same event will appear in separate rows in the event table of the equipment's OEE analysis details page. There will be one row for each of the event's unique set of OEE data properties. The example below shows two rows for the same Planned Maintenance utilization event, because a Crew Name was changed from Blue to Gold during the event.
