Use InTouch as a data source

Creating an AVEVA Insight data source from InTouch involves three steps:

1. Prepare to publish your data. |
This step includes:

2. Historize the InTouch tags. |
This step includes running InTouch and identifying the tags you want to publish to AVEVA Insight. |
|
|
3. Publish your data to AVEVA Insight. |
This step includes registering the AVEVA Insight data source and publishing your data from InTouch to AVEVA Insight. |
Before you can publish data to AVEVA Insight, you must complete these steps:

If you are using a firewall, configure required and optional endpoint URLs for Publisher and AVEVA Insight.
If you use an HTTP proxy, register that HTTP proxy configuration with Publisher.
Before you can publish your InTouch application to AVEVA Insight, you must historize the related tags.
To set your tags for historization

In InTouch, select Log Data.
Note: Selecting Enable Historical Logging is not required for your InTouch application. However, if you choose to enable this
option, you do not need to change your current configuration.
