Download Publisher

You can use AVEVA Insight Publisher to create a new AVEVA Insight data source from your existing systems, including InTouch HMI, InTouch Edge HMI, Historian, Citect SCADA, and other sources, then publish your data to AVEVA Insight. See Setup and manage data sources for details.

Note: If you are running AVEVA Insight Publisher behind a firewall or web proxy, see the list of endpoint URLs will need for outbound connections. For more information on deploying AVEVA Insight Publisher, see Deploy Publisher.

Note 2: See Tag naming conventions to ensure that your tag names are supported by AVEVA Insight before proceeding.

If you are an Administrator, you can download AVEVA Insight Publisher from the Administration page in AVEVA Insight.

To download AVEVA Insight Publisher (Administrator)

1. Select Administration from the navigation rail.

2. Select Downloads.

3. Select Download for Insight Publisher, then follow the prompts to install AVEVA Insight Publisher.

If you are a Publisher, you can download AVEVA Insight Publisher from online.wondeware.com, where it is available to anyone.

4. Open a browser and navigate to online.wonderware.com.

5. Select Publish tools near the bottom of the screen.

6. Select Download for Insight Publisher, then follow the prompts to install AVEVA Insight Publisher.

User configuration for AVEVA Insight Publisher

AVEVA Insight Publisher configuration is unique to the Windows user logged in during setup. If AVEVA Insight Publisher is installed on a PC with two users and configured to publish to the same data source from both accounts, AVEVA Insight will only accept data from the most recent user.

In a scenario where one user needs to be replaced by another user, you can configure AVEVA Insight Publisher with the second user account and begin publishing. After configuring the second account, the first account can be disabled.
