Use an Azure Event Hub or Azure IoT Hub as a data source (Administrator only)

Once you define an Azure Event Hub or Azure IoT Hub data source, Insight begins monitoring the hub for new data. AVEVA components convert the data to a format Insight can understand, then save the data in AVEVA Historian.

Insight supports process value and event data uploads from an Azure Event Hub or IoT Data Source. Alarm data is not supported.

Process value messages sent from the Event Hub or IoT Hub to Insight must have a specific format so Insight can extract the relevant data. Sending event data requires a mapping file. For more information on the mapping file, see Processing Event data from an Event Hub/IoT Hub data source.
