Open AVEVA Insight in kiosk mode using the access token

You must have received a URL containing an access token from your administrator to use AVEVA Insight in kiosk mode. See Create an access token for AVEVA Insight using AVEVA Connect.

To use AVEVA Insight in kiosk mode

1. Copy the URL you received from your administrator into your web browser.

   AVEVA Insight opens in kiosk mode. This step is optional, if you choose to omit this step, the kiosk mode will show the Aveva Insight home page. The URL should be in the following format.

   Content Link: https://online.wonderware.[DOMAINSUFFIX]/framework/content/<entityId>?KioskToken=<KioskToken>

   Dashboard Link: https://online.wonderware.[DOMAINSUFFIX]/framework/dashboard/<entityId>?KioskToken=<KioskToken>

   The Kiosk <entityId> must be copied from the Content (or Dashboard) URL, for example   [https://%3cTargetRegion%3e/framework/content/f9f326e6-7b8d-5991-aa83-b48f7eff7d0f]https://<TargetRegion>/framework/content/f9f326e6-7b8d-5991-aa83-b48f7eff7d0f

   Note: To achieve a clear view of your content or dashboard without the option to navigate elsewhere, you can also append the #hidenavigation parameter at the end of the link.

   

2. Search for the information you want to display. You can also display saved content that has been shared.

   The information you can access depends on the access that was granted when the kiosk access token was created.

   You can use AVEVA Insight the same way a Viewer user with the same location scope would use it.

   AVEVA Insight remains in kiosk mode even if you close your browser.

3. To exit kiosk mode, sign out and then sign in again.

   AVEVA Insight opens in standard mode.

   AVEVA Insight will also exit kiosk mode if one of the following actions occur:

   • the access token expires

   • the access token is deleted in AVEVA Connect
