The asset type overview page appears when you select an asset type from the asset type list. The Asset Type Definition tab is the default tab. This tab provides details about the properties of the asset type and a list of associated items.

View items associated with the asset type
When a user saves items to an asset type, those items appear under the Associated Items card.

Associated items can include content, such as charts and graphics, dashboards, alerts, and analytics models.
For more information on associating content with an asset type, see Associate items with an asset type.
View and define properties for the asset type
To define an asset type property, select the add icon on the Properties card.

On the Add side sheet, provide a Name and Description, then select a Data Type.
Optionally, choose a Dimension to associate with the property. Selections available in the Dimension drop-down are related to your solution's Engineering Unit Catalog. For more information, see Define custom engineering units.
Once you are finished defining the property, select Save.
Assets linked to this asset type should include tags mapped to the properties you define. For more information on mapping tags, see Map tags to properties.
