Line versions and unpublishing lines

If you need to make changes to a production line that has been published, you can create a new version of it. For each new version, the version number is incremented. The version number is maintained internally by the system and not visible to users.

Initially, the new version is in the Draft state to allow you to make the necessary changes. When the new version is published, it replaces the previous version of the line that was available for production runs. However, while the previous version is no longer listed or viewable, it is maintained in the efficiency model so that its historical data is retained.

You can also unpublish published lines so that they are no longer available for new production runs. Unpublishing a line permanently moves it to history, and it will no longer be listed. It will also no longer be available in OEE analysis reporting. However, its bottleneck and production source equipment analysis data will persist.
