Use AVEVA Insight APIs

AVEVA provides several APIs, tools, and other resources to AVEVA Insight solution builders. As a solution builder, you can create and customize AVEVA Insight solutions for the groups of AVEVA Insight users that you work with.

Solution customization

You can use the tag dictionary to define tag extended properties for tags within a data source.

You can also use these solution customization tools and resources:

• Historian Data REST API
  Allows you to upload and retrieve data from your AVEVA Insight solution.

• Content Scripting REST API
  Allows you to programmatically define layout and data details to create AVEVA Insight content.

• File Storage and Comment API
  Allows you to upload files and attach those files as attachments for existing comments via REST endpoints.

• XML Tag Reference
  Allows you to define and use tags from an OPC server when you create a data source from an OPC server.

• Connect a Historian SDK app
  Allows integration between a AVEVA Historian SDK application and AVEVA Insight.

• Equipment Efficiency REST API
  Allows you to programmatically interact with the equipment efficiency model and other aspects of the equipment efficiency functionality available in AVEVA Insight.

• Use your product with BI Gateway
  Allows you to build a BI Gateway Model by creating data sources, dimensions and measures, and configuring each of those objects.
