Scenario 22

  • 1 minute read

An administrator has the following:

  • An asset type associated with Asset 1 and Asset 2.

  • Asset 1 has Tag 1 mapped to a property of the asset type.

  • Asset 2 has Tag 2 mapped to a property of the asset type.

  • A Tag 3 in the solution not associated with either asset. This tag is a "global tag."

  • A Model 1 (source model) under Asset 1 using Tag 1 and Tag 3.

  • A Model 2 (instantiated model) under Asset 2 using Tag 2 and Tag 3.

An administrator then:

  • Deletes Tag 2 from the solution.

These conditions result in:

The instantiated model definition under Asset 2 shows a generic deleted entity in place of Tag 2.

An administrator then:

  1. Opens the source model definition under Asset 1.

  2. Edits the time range for the model's training data, and then saves the model back to the asset type and all instances.

  3. Opens the source model definition under Asset 1.

  4. Removes Tag 1 from the model.

These conditions result in:

  • The source model is updated to reflect the removal of Tag 1.

  • The instantiated model is not updated.

    • Because a new tag did not replace the deleted tag, which had been previously mapped to an asset type property, the source model is now considered a model without a completed tag mapping and cannot be synchronized back to associated assets.
