Set up and manage production lines

AVEVA Insight can include production lines on which production runs can be executed. This allows OEE to be tracked at a line level, in addition to individual pieces of equipment.

Admin users can create and manage productions lines.

Adding a line includes the following tasks:

• Add a line and layout its equipment and the connections between the equipment

• Mark the equipment that represent production bottlenecks and production sources so that OEE KPI data can be accurately calculated

• Set the line's OEE KPI targets

• Validate the line to be sure that there are no circular paths and that there are bottleneck and production source equipment in each path through the line

• Publish the line so that it's available for production runs

Ongoing line management includes the following tasks:

• View published lines in read-only mode

• Create a new version of a published line

• Duplicate a line as the basis for a new line

• Unpublish a line to make it unavailable for production runs

• Remove draft or unpublished lines from the system
