The production line must have a valid configuration to make it ready to be used for a production run.
At any point while drafting the line model, you can check to see if it's valid.
Prior to validating the line, be sure that:
-
All equipment is connected to at least one other piece of equipment.
-
There are no loops in the layout (i.e., the output of a downstream piece of equipment cannot be connected to an upstream piece of equipment).

-
There must be at least one piece of equipment marked as a bottleneck.
-
Only one piece of equipment in a path through a line can be marked as a bottleneck.
-
There must be at least one piece of equipment marked as a production source.
-
Only one piece of equipment in a path through a line can be marked as a production source.
To validate the line
-
Select the Validation panel icon.
