Using the tag dictionary, you can add geolocation (short for geographic location) coordinates to a tag.

Geolocation coordinates define the longitude, latitude, and optionally, elevation (in meters) of the place associated with a tag.

To define geolocation for a tag

  1. Select Administration from the navigation rail.

  2. Select Tag Dictionary.

  3. If prompted, use your Microsoft account credentials to sign in.

  4. You'll see an Excel worksheet with the Configuration Assistant add-in pane on the right.

  5. For each tag, in the GeoLocation field, provide latitude, longitude, and optionally, elevation.

    Coordinates should be:

    • Noted in decimal degrees (for longitude and latitude) with plus/minus format. The "+" may be omitted for positive values. (Do not use degree, minute, second (DMS) or decimal degrees with N/E/S/W.)

    • Noted in meters (for elevation). Elevation must be specified to the first decimal place; for example:10.0 or 1322.5.

    • Separated with comma or space.

Geolocation values may include decimal separators, consistent with English culture.

      Examples: "32.23,-95.30,1202.2", "+32.23 -95.30", "+32.23,-95.30", "32.23 -95.30 20.0"
