The Utilization Events tab

  1. Equipment list

To view the equipment efficiency information for a piece of equipment, select the piece of equipment in this list.

For information about working with the list, see Sort the equipment and production line list and Use equipment groups to focus on equipment and lines of interest.

  2. Current equipment state of the selected equipment

The status color corresponds to the equipment state type.

Select the Equipment State button to add a new event. See Add a utilization event.

  3. Stoppage summary information about the selected equipment

    • Stoppages is the number of events within the selected time period with a Downtime equipment state type (with or without a reason assigned).

    • Total Duration of Stoppages is the total time within the selected time period of all events with a Downtime equipment state type.

    • Time Since Last Stoppage is the elapsed time since the most recent event with a Downtime equipment state type. The time since the last stoppage will be 0 when the equipment is in a Downtime event state.

  4. Time range of the currently selected time period

The time shown here is in your local time.

  5. Event timeline for the selected equipment

The colors of an event block in the timeline corresponds to the events' equipment state.

Select an event block in the timeline to change it, split the event into two events, or merge the event with the next or previous event.

  6. KPI charts

The KPI (key performance indicator) charts for the selected equipment within the selected time period.

    • Top 5 Downtime Reasons by Count and Top 5 Downtime Reasons by Duration include only those events whose reason is mapped to an equipment state that is a Downtime equipment state type. Events that do not have a reason assigned, even if the equipment state is a Downtime equipment state type, are not included.

The color of the Downtime chart bars is always blue. It does not correspond to equipment state types.

You can see the comments that have been entered for any of the instances of one of the downtime reasons. See View downtime reason comments.

    • Time Summary includes all events within the selected time period. The chart bars are color-coded by equipment state type. A gray bar indicates that there is no event data at the beginning of the selected time range. This would only occur when the system is first started.

Note: If a production run duration is more than a week, the timeline for the data displayed on the Utilization Events tab will be shortened to 7 days. This includes the time ranges for the stoppage summary information, the event timeline, and the KPI charts.
