Tag naming conventions

AVEVA Insight supports tags which adhere to the naming conventions specified here.
A tag name is a Unicode string (UTF-16) of up 256 characters. The first character of a tag name can be alphabetic, numeric, a dollar sign ($), or a pound sign (#). Subsequent characters can be alphabetic, numeric, a dollar sign ($), a pound sign (#), an underscore (_), or a percent sign (%). Supported in tag names

Any letter character as defined by the Unicode Standard

Latin characters from a through z

Latin characters from A through Z

Unique letter characters used in supported non-English languages, such as ñ or ü.

AVEVA Insight supports dollar sign ($), pound sign (#), underscore (_), and percent sign (%).
