Work with External Connectors

Important: Azure Event Hub/IoT Hub is currently the only supported type of external connector.
You can add an external connector to an existing data source. This setup would allow you to collect historical data with your existing data source, then add the external connector to collect future data. Once you have added an external connector, you can still send manual data, such as CSV/JSON, to the original data source.
To add an external connector to an existing data source

Select Administration from the navigation rail.

Select Data Sources.

To the right of the data source name, select
, and then select
Add External Connector.

In the Set Property Values dialog, enter all the connector information.

Select OK.
The data source starts listening to the Event Hub/IoT Hub.
To remove an external connector from a data source

Select Administration from the navigation rail.

Select Data Sources.

To the right of the data source name, select
, and then select
Remove External Connector.

Select Remove to remove the external connector associated with the data source.
The data source stops listening to the Event Hub/IoT Hub.
