Manage shift patterns

Shift patterns define work shifts for one or more locations. Once assigned to a location, the shifts will apply to all assets at that location.

Shifts are enabled only for locations for which a time zone is specified. If enabled, users can monitor the location's asset data by shifts just as they can for other specified time periods. For example, if a shift pattern is enabled for a factory location, the OEE data for the equipment assets in the factory can be grouped by the shifts defined for the pattern.

By default, a shift pattern that is assigned to a location is also assigned to its child locations. You can manually unassign the shift pattern from the child locations.
