Select tags from Plant SCADA 2016 or above

Before you can push data to AVEVA Insight, you need to manually set the Historization property in Plant SCADA for required tags.

To set the Historization property for trend tags

1. In Plant SCADA, open the Citect Studio.

2. Select your project and make it active.

3. From the Activity menu on the left, select System Model.

4. From the top menu, select Trends.

5. For each tag you want pushed to AVEVA Insight, set Historize property to TRUE.

   

6. Select Save to update the tag.

7. Compile and distribute the runtime project to the computers in your SCADA network.

To set Historization property for string or digital variable tags

8. In Plant SCADA, open the Plant Studio.

9. Select your project and make it active.

10. From the Activity menu on the left, select System Model.

11. At the top, select Variables.

12. For each tag you want pushed to AVEVA Insight, set Historize to TRUE.

    

13. Select Save to update the tag.

14. Compile and distribute the runtime project to the computers in your SCADA network.

To set historization for alarm tags

15. In Plant SCADA, select the relevant project and open the Citect Studio.

16. From the Activity menu on the left, select System Model, and then select Alarm.

17. For each tag you want pushed to AVEVA Insight, set Historize to TRUE.

    

18. Select Save to update the tag.

19. Compile and distribute the runtime project to the computers in your SCADA network.
