Configure a Thermo assay

  1. Go to Tools->Option->Component Tab->Thermo Components. The Thermo Component dialog box appears.

  2. Select Add Assay/Blend Component.

    The Manage Components dialog appears.

  3. Select the CutSet tab and then select New Cut set.

  4. In the New Cutset dialog box, enter the name of the cutset and then select OK.

  5. In the Temperature Ranges section, enter the Start Temperature and End Temperature values and the number of Cuts in the temperature ranges.

  6. Select Generate Cuts.

  7. Select the Assay tab and then select New Assay.

  8. In the New Assay dialog, enter a name and select OK.

  9. From the Select CutSet drop-down, select the required cutset for the assay.

  10. In the Distillation Data section, specify the following:

    1. In the Pressure text box, specify the pressure value.

    2. In the Specific Gravity text box, enter the specific gravity value.

    3. In the Volume percent distilled table, enter the volume percent and temperature value.

  11. After entering all the required information, select Process Selected Assay.

    The assay is processed and added to the Thermo Components Properties list.

  12. Select the Manage tab.

  13. In the Select the Node pane, select the processed assay.

    All pseudo components in the assay are listed under the processed assay.
