Password encryption
AVEVA Production Accounting ensures secure user and data access:

When you login to any supported historian database from any AVEVA Production Accounting interface, the password of users of the historian database are encrypted before they are stored in the AVEVA Production Accounting database.

Similarly, passwords used to connect to the AVEVA Production Accounting database are also encrypted before these are stored in the AVEVA Production Accounting database.
Note You must provide a password to access AVEVA Production Accounting.
Password guidelines
Your password to log in to AVEVA Production Accounting must follow these guidelines:

Contain at least 8 characters.

Contain at least one uppercase letter.

Contain at least one lowercase letter.

Contain at least one number.

Contain at least one special character.
Other security guidelines

Use Windows authentication to avoid security breaches.

Use the Windows NT authentication in the AVEVA Production Accounting interfaces for connection to different historians for integrated security, wherever available.
