Enter and view data for model connectors

1. Select the model connector tool from the Drawing Toolbar first. (If you are using the selection tool when you first click on a model connector, this will cause the flowsheet view to shift).

2. Double-click a model connector object to display the detail dialog box for the model connector.

   

General Info frame

Fill in the details for the model connector.

• Model Connector Name: Same as for other balance objects.

• Description: Same as for other balance objects.

• Show Information: Selects whether the model connector information is displayed on the model flowsheet drawing. If you click to select this checkbox, an information label for the model connector is shown on the model drawing.

  

  

Select Connection Model

• Select the model to which the model connector should connect.

  If you select the model, the possible connection streams on the selected model are shown in the Select Connection Streams frame. The possible connection streams are the streams which are connected to the selected partner model connector.

  

  

Select Connection Streams

• Select the desired connection streams on the chosen partner model connector.

  The set of streams from which you may choose are the streams connected to the partner connector. Assuming you have model connectors A and B which are to be partnered, you can select multiple connection streams on B only if A has only a single stream. The model connector permits you to link one to multiple or multiple to one but not multiple to multiple.
