Input the measured flow into each stream object and tank

Input the measured flow into each stream object and tank

The following procedures describe how to input the measured mass flow in the detail dialog box for each stream and the measured inventory for the tank object.

Input the measured mass flow for streams

  1. Double-click each stream object in turn.

For each stream, manually enter the mass flow (tons) either in the Events frame or on the Results tab. You do not need to input the measured value for FL001 and FL002 stream objects since these are unmeasured and will be filled in by AVEVA Production Accounting.

The values you entered will appear in the labels on the flowsheet.

  • Similarly, double-click the tank object and input the period end inventory mass contained in the tank either in the Events frame or Inventory Results tab.

Create a previous period event

There is an extra step required when entering amounts for tanks. The delta for each period is normally calculated by AVEVA Production Accounting by comparing the ending inventory of the previous period to the ending inventory for the current period. Since this model is new, there is no previous period event. You must create the period event.

  1. Select the one existing event and change its start date to be the previous day (one day earlier than it was already).

  2. Right-click the row header of the existing event and select Insert from the context menu that appears.

  3. Another event for the following day (which is the current period again) is created. You now have two days.

  4. Fill in the mass on each of the two days as shown in the figure.

The streams now appear blue in the flowsheet, indicating that they have not yet been reconciled.
