Email​.Notification

A user with Admin or Manage privileges can run the Email.Notification menu.

Properties

  • SMTP server: Name or IP address of the SMTP server to use for sending e-mail messages.

  • Port: Port number on the SMTP server. Default value of Port property is 25 and doesn't have to be changed for most SMTP servers. If port 25 doesn't work, please ask your network administrator or internet service provider what port should be used to send e-mails. This server requires an encrypted connection.

  • (SSL): Specifies whether SMTP server requires an encrypted connection (TLS/SSL). SSL property is False by default. Set SSL property to True if you want to use TLS/SSL connection, for example when using smtp.gmail.com server on port 465.

  • Username: User name (account name) on the SMTP server. Username property contains empty string by default. This property should be set to an empty string if your outgoing mail server doesn't require authentication.

  • Password: Password on the SMTP server. Password property contains empty string by default. This property should be set to an empty string if your outgoing mail server doesn't require authentication.

  • (SPA): Specifies whether to use Secure Password Authentication (SPA). SPA property is False by default. If your outgoing mail server requires SPA, please set SPA property to True in order to use Secure Password Authentication. Please note that some servers are configured to require Username in [email protected] format for SPA authentication.

  • From: Sender's e-mail address. You can also specify sender's name followed by the sender's e-mail address in angled brackets.

  • To: List of recipients' e-mail addresses separated by semicolon. You can also specify recipient's name followed by the recipient's e-mail address in angled brackets.

  • Cc: adds recipient to the Cc field of e-mail message.

  • Subject: Subject of the e-mail message. It allows smart object functions in the subject such as MODEL (STARTDATETIME).

  • Message: Body of the e-mail message. It allows smart object functions in the message such as STREAM(FC001;MASSFLOWRATE) or TANK(TK001;RECMASSVOLUME).

  • Attachments: specifies excel report file name (including path) of the attachment file. EXR_SDT, EXR_EDT, EXR_TYPE and NUMDAYS range names shall be specified in the excel report.

  • Send!: sends text or HTML e-mail to one or more recipients asynchronously.

The above configurations are saved in PFD.INI file and you do not need to input them again.
