Import enthalpy or heating value as tag

  • Last UpdatedFeb 28, 2025
  • 2 minute read
  • Define the property tag as the enthalpy or heating value tag, and then choose the Equation method as enthalpy or heating value method with the equation.

Example

For example, first add the heating value property in the Property tab of the Options dialog box.

Import_Enthalpy_orHV(1)

Then add the heating value property and define the heating value tag as shown below.

When you import the tag, the value of the heating value tag is imported as shown below.

Choose the method of heating value as Equation and define the equation as Stream (stream name;Property;heating value property name).

Then heating value is calculated from the heating value tag as shown below.

If the engineering unit (kJ/kg) of the heating value tag is same as the global engineering unit (kJ/kg) of heating value, you can define the equation as Stream (stream name;Property;heating value property name) like "STREAM(04FI008;PROPERTY;LHV)".

But if the engineering unit (kJ/Nm3) of the heating value tag is not the same as the global engineering unit (kJ/kg) of the heating value, you can define the suitable unit conversion equation like "STREAM (04FI008;PROPERTY;LHV)/STREAM(04FI008;MW)*22.414".
