Add a KPI object

Select the KPI tool from the drawing toolbar.

On the drawing window, left-click and drag the cursor.

The KPI Information dialog appears.

In the KPI Name box, enter a KPI name.

Select next to the Expression box.

The Equation Editor dialog appears.

In the Equation Editor dialog, in the Variables section, select Variables.

The Variables dialog appears.

Select Add.

The Variable dialog appears.

Select the Name dropdown menu.

On the Name dropdown list, select Stream.

Select the stream details from the other dropdown lists.

Select OK.

Select Close.

Select Insert.

The configured equation based on the selected stream parameters appear in the Equation Editor box.

Select OK.

The configured equation appears in the Expression box and is used to populate the data for the selected period.

• To generate data for the previous and subsequent periods, select the Previous.Period and Next.Period button respectively from the Period menu and re-open the KPI object.

In the Tag Name box, enter a tag name for the KPI object.

Select next to the Tag Name.

The Edit Tag Information dialog appears.

The tag data associated with the KPI object can be exported to the database. For more information, see Export.Data.

Select OK.
