Tank Balance report

Tank Balance report provides the information about inventory and the flow of material through a physical tank in a model. This report includes input and output streams during a period for a physical tank. The report provides the following information based on which imbalance of each tank is calculated and published:

Total input flow

Total output flow

Inventory for physical tank
The following procedure describes how to query a Tank Balance report:

Select Tank Balance.
The Tank Balance Report page appears.

In the Tank Balance Report page, select and specify the following details:

From Date
-
To Date
-
Select Model
-
Select Sub Model
-
-
Select Get Report.
The Tank Balance Report details for the selected attributes appear in a grid chart view in the Analytical View tab.

The percentage imbalances in the chart are represented using color gradients on severity:

Green (darker for lower values): <0.2% imbalance

Yellow (darker for higher values): 0.2–1% imbalance

Red (darker for higher values): >1% imbalance
The %mass imbalance is calculated using the End Reconciled Mass value of the imbalance stream for each tank or the Total Reconciled Mass Imbalance of tank, based on whichever value is higher. The calculation formula is as follows:
%Imbalance = Abs (Mass Imbalance in Tank or Total Reconciled Mass Imbalance / Start Inventory Reconciled Mass) × 100

If you want to see the tank details, in the chart view, select any relevant cell.

The Tank Result Details pop-up window appears displaying the associated tank details.

If you want to see a tabular view of the report, select the Detailed View tab.

The Tank Balance Report details for the selected attributes appear in a tabular view.
