Configure prerequisites for PIWEBAPI

Ensure that the following prerequisites are configured:

SSL Certificate: To provide security to the Web API communication

POST Method: To allow data export from AVEVA Production Accounting

User/Groups in the PI Server: For user authentication.
Configure POST method
The following procedure describes how to set up data exchange and configure the POST request support for the PI Web API in the PI Server:

Open the PI System Explorer.

Click Go > Elements option. Expand the tree-view, and select the System Configuration option.

Go to the Attributes Tab and check the CorsMethods attribute value. If it does not have POST method then add POST method in the value from the right section.

Click the Check-in button to save the changes.
Configure User/Groups
Configure user groups in the PI Server appropriately. Refer to the PI Server documentation for more information.
