Import​.Object

The Import.Object menu item imports the name and properties of static object through a CSV file.

Import static data

1. Select the Tools menu.

2. On the Tools menu, in the Tools group, select Import.Object.

   A list of static objects appear.

   

3. Select a static object.

   The local C: drive dialog appears.

4. Save the CSV file containing data of the selected object on your local system.

Static object data

You can import the following static object data from the CSV file.

• Tag

• Tank

• Process

• Node

• Receipt/Shipment

• Stream

• Model Drawing

Example

For example, if you want to import the static data of Tank, perform the following steps:

5. Select the specific .csv file.

   

6. Select Open.

   The Create new object dialog appears.

7. Select Yes or No based based on whether you want to create a new object.

   If you select Yes, another dialog appears and displays the information related to the CSV file.
