Guidelines for secure access to historian databases

Connections to different supported historians from AVEVA Production Accounting requires access to the historian databases.

You can configure connections to historian databases on the Interface Source tab on the Option dialog box of the software by providing credentials to access the historian. This information is stored in the AVEVA Production Accounting database.

For enhanced security, either one of the following options is suggested:

• Use the Windows NT authentication for integrated security, wherever available.

• Use an account with minimal privileges necessary for the connection.
