The Data tab allows associating user data to a selected object.

Data tab

Properties

These properties appear on the Data tab.

Properties

Description

Text

The text associated with the selected object. The text associated with a balance object is displayed inside the balance object. It is a multiline display. The text is wrapped automatically inside the balance object. You may insert linefeed (ASCII 10 dec.) and carriage return (ASC 13 dec.) characters to force a line break prior to the wrap point. Use Ctrl-J to enter linefeeds and Ctrl-M to enter carriage returns (because pressing Enter causes the OK button to be activated).

Tag

Contains the tag associated with the selected object. This property is used and maintained by the system and user can not edit it. For balance objects, this property contains the picture file name currently in use, while for stream lines, it contains the solvability status.

You can indirectly modify this value for balance objects by making changes on the Picture tab. However, for tanks, processes and nodes, whose color may be affected by the results of reconciliation, AVEVA Production Accounting may modify this internal property to refer to a fixed image file with the desired color (normally red).

Key

The unique key associated with a selected object. It allows identification of the selected object. This property is used and maintained by the AVEVA Production Accounting software, so you can view but not edit it.

ToolTip

Contains the tooltip text associated with a selected object. This property is ignored if the selected object is reconciled since it is automatically changed by the status of data reconciliation.

UserData

Contains numeric object type data associated with a selected object. This property is used by system and user can not edit it. It is made visible here for troubleshooting purposes only.

Change Obj. Type button

Enables you to change the object type of the selected balance object without having to delete and recreate the object, thereby preserving its associated data and stream connections.
