Manage objects

Managing objects involves adding, deleting, moving and resizing them.

Add an object to the flowsheet

1. Select the tool from the drawing toolbar that is appropriate for the type of object you wish to create.

2. In the drawing window, drag the cursor on the canvas area to form the object.

3. Adjust the object shape as per the desired size and orientation.

Delete an object from the flowsheet

Note When you delete a process, node, tank or model connector object, any connected stream object is also deleted. Be careful when you delete these balance type objects.

4. Select the object, and then press the DEL key. A confirmation message will appear.

   

5. Click Yes to confirm the delete.

Move or resize an object on the flowsheet

6. Move: Using the selection tool select the object by clicking somewhere within its outline and drag the object to its new location on the canvas.

7. Resize: Click on one of its handles and drag it to a new position. Dragging a handle at the corner resizes the object in both x and y dimensions, while dragging any other handle will resize it in only one dimension.
