Import Measurement Point tab

These properties appear in the Import Measurement Point tab of the Design Info tab.

  • Tag Name: Selects the tag name for the plant historian tag that contains the amount of flow for this stream. This can be left blank if appropriate, for instance, when the flow is filled in from transactional data from a movement logging system. You can select an existing tag in two ways: (1) Use the Tag Name combobox, or (2) Click the command button to the right which brings up the Tag Information dialog box, on which you can select a tag.

  • Tag Eng. Unit: Allows you to select an engineering unit different than the default for the selected tag. Whenever you select a tag (including changing the selected tag), the engineering unit is set to the one defined for that tag. But after selecting the tag, you are free to change the engineering unit.

  • Tag Rate Unit: This combobox allows you to select a rate unit that may differ from the default one defined for the chosen tag. This is reset to the tag’s predefined rate unit whenever you select a new tag or change your tag selection.

  • Actual Flow Measurement at Actual Op. Condition: The flow measurement from the tag is at actual conditions.

Export Measurement Point tab

These properties appear in the Export Measurement Point tab of the Design Info tab.

  • Tag Name: Selects the tag name that contains the amount of reconciled value for this stream to write the plant historian.

Other properties

These properties also appear on the Design Info tab.

  • Measured: This checkbox lets you define whether or not the stream object is measured. If checked, this stream is a measured one. If unchecked, this stream is an unmeasured one. The effect of performing data reconciliation differs for measured versus unmeasured streams. Reconciliation calculates the flow rate of an unmeasured stream, but it corrects (reconciles) the flow rate of a measured stream. Usually, checking this box affects only future reconciliations. If you want to apply this setting to all event data (for all previous periods), click the command button next to this checkbox. This kind of alteration of previous events is normally most useful during commissioning.

  • No Density Conversion: When the balance type is both (mass and volume), AVEVA Production Accounting takes a mass balance with measured data and then decides reconciled mass flowrate of each stream. And then conversed volume flowrate is calculated with reconciled mass flowrate and density which is calculated by measured mass and volume flowrate. AVEVA Production Accounting generally takes a volume balance with this conversed volume flowrate. However, if this option is checked, AVEVA Production Accounting takes a volume balance with measured volume flowrate to checked stream instead of conversed volume flowrate.

  • Product Code: Selects the product name of this stream object. You may choose from existing product codes in two ways: (1) Click the associated combobox, or (2) Click the associated command button , which calls up the Edit Product Information dialog box, on which you may select a product. Normally, changing the product code will affect only future reconciliations. If you want to apply the changed product code to all event data (for all previous periods), click the command button next to this checkbox. This type of alteration of previous events is normally most useful during commissioning.

  • Use Design Product Code: If you choose this option, the design product code is applied to the event even though the product code in event data is different from the static (design) product code.
