Add a model connector to link models

Create a new model ("new_test") and configure the flowsheet as shown.

A model connector has now been added on the flowsheet but its link to another model is not defined yet.
After reconciliation, the reconciled value of FT010 stream is 20.863 ton/day. It is different from FL002 stream on model "test" – but let's assume you wish to link the two, such that they will be reconciled to the same amount.

FT010 stream on model "new_test" is connected to FL002 stream on model "test" by means of linking the two model connectors.
To do this, first you need to change the shipment object at the end of the FL002 stream into a model connector object. The ability to change the type of an existing flowsheet object is one of the many features that make AVEVA Production Accounting easy to use. In this case, for instance, being able to change the shipment rather than having to delete it allows us to avoid deleting the stream that connects to it, so we are able to keep the historical data of the stream.
Change object type
-
Select the shipment object.

-
Select the Format menu.
-
On the Format menu, select Properties.
The Receipt/Shipment Object Properties dialog appears.
-
Select Data.
-
On the Data tab, select Change Obj. Type.
A list appears.

-
Select Model Connector.
-
Select OK.
-
The shipment object is replaced by a model connector object.

Now, configure each model connector to connect to the model connector on the other model.

After configuring the model connectors and running reconciliation again, the FL002 stream on model "test" is balanced with the FT010 stream on model "new_test".
