Add a process loss stream using smart objects

The process loss stream is added at the process object on the flowsheet and its stream name is defined as LOSS_PROCESS. The following procedure describes how to add a process loss stream:

1. Define the Default Flow Rate of the LOSS_PROCESS stream as 5% of the feed stream (FT002) using a smart object calculation function.

   

   

   

   The default flow rate of LOSS_PROCESS stream is calculated as 0.05 * 100 = 5 ton/day.

2. Run data reconciliation again. You will notice that the reconciled of this loss stream is 5.002 ton.

   As a side effect of creating this loss stream, FT004 is no longer detected as a gross error since the imbalance of the process is reduced by this process loss stream.
