General Info frame
These properties appear in the General Info frame on the Information tab.

-
Tank Name: Enter a unique name for the object. You can choose to display the information for another existing object, if you click the combobox and select another object’s name, but AVEVA Production Accounting will first ask you whether you wish to save the current object’s information.
-
Description: Enter a description for the object, if desired.
-
Phase State: Liquid, gas or solid. (Solid state accommodates application of AVEVA Production Accounting in industries such as mining and fertilizer manufacturing).
-
Balance Type: The default balance type when an object is created is the primary balance type on the Eng. Unit tab of the Options dialog box. You can also select MASS or VOLUME or BOTH (MASS and VOLUME) as the balance type.

Tank objects will generate balance equations of the selected type in addition to the primary balance on the Options dialog box, if the selected type differs from the primary type. When you run data reconciliation, the primary balance type in the Options dialog box and the balance type of each balance object (process, node or tank) determines the type of balance DR Solver performs.
-
Mixing Type (refer to Heterogeneous Tank Methods)
-
LIFO: The LIFO Tank Method is for a Last-In, First-Out tank without mixing.
-
FIFO: The FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method is suitable for representing pipeline segments.
-
-
Mixing Factor: Defines the mixing factor in composition tracking simulation. The value is between 0 and 1. 1 is well mixed and 0 is not mixed. For details, refer to Composition Tracking.
-
Mixing Function: Defines the mixing equation by clicking the button next to the textbox.
Detail Info frame
These properties appear in the Detail Info frame of the Information tab.

-
Logical Tank: Same usage as the Logical Flow setting for stream objects.
-
Tracking: Select whether the tank is included in composition tracking. If selected, the streams around the tank will be simulated by composition tracking.
-
Layer Simulation: If this option is selected, the tracking is simulated with multiple layers of tank. (see also Tracking Tab in the option)
-
Use Reconciled Value as Initial Inventory: Selects whether to use the reconciled value or measured value of the previous period’s inventory as the starting inventory for new events. If you select this checkbox, the previous event’s reconciled value is used for as the starting inventory value. If unselected, the previous period’s measured value is used. The default is unselected.
-
Show Information: Selects whether the stream information is displayed on the model flowsheet drawing. If you select this checkbox, an information label for the stream is shown on the model drawing. The information label contains the start and end inventory values.
-
Select ITIC Inventory: When Use Intermediate Tank Inventory Cutting (ITIC) option is checked in DR Solver of global option, this option is for individual tank movement quantity considering the intermediate tank inventory if the intermediate tank inventory is available.
-
User Defined Gross Error Status: Same as for stream objects.
-
Make New Events for the below Selected Period: Same as for stream objects.
