PI AF SDK server interface

This method uses PI AF SDK for establishing the connection with the Asset Framework (AF) and PI Archive databases. You need to specify the username and password in the interface for authentication. Windows authentication is also supported.

Prerequisite

• Configure user/groups in the PI System appropriately. Refer to the PI System documentation for more information.

Steps to configure

Configuring the PI Interface involves:

• PI Interface Configuration

  • Configure the interface source for PIAF

  • Configure the interface for PIAF

• Configure tags for PIAF

  • Import Tag Configuration

  • Export Tag Configuration

• Configure import or export tags for PIAF

  Note Export tag value to AF database is supported only for AF tags; the same will not work if the AF tag is linked to PI Archive
