Install and deploy AVEVA Production Accounting – Web

When you run Setup.exe, the file installs AVEVA Production Accounting – Web and Industry Console onto your computer. The rewrite_amd64_en-US.msi prerequisite file also installs onto your computer, if not already installed.
To use the AVEVA Production Accounting – Web software, install the AVEVA Production Accounting – Web application on a computer that has IIS installed.
The following procedure describes how to install AVEVA Production Accounting – Web:

In the AVEVA Production Accounting – Web installation package, in the AVEVA Production Accounting – Web folder, right-click Setup.exe.

Run the file as an Administrator.
The installation program analyzes the software installed on your computer and installs the prerequisite files, if required, as shown in the following image.

Select Install.
The prerequisite files are installed. The Welcome screen appears.

Select Next.

Agree to the terms of the license agreement, and select Next.

If you are instlling AVEVA Production Accounting – Web for the first time, specify the destination folder.

Select Next and perform one of the following actions:

Choose the default installation folder C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\AVEVAProductionAccounting.

Specify the location where you want to install AVEVA Production Accounting – Web.
If you already have any previous version of AVEVA Production Accounting – Web installed on your machine, the same folder is automatically selected.

Select Next.
Security Type AVEVA Local is selected by default. Specify the machine name where the license server is installed.

Select Next.

Select Install.

The installation of the application begins.

The Configurator window appears.

Configure the following ports for the AVEVA Production Accounting – Web application to enable users to access the portal remotely:

Enter a User Name in the format <domain>\<user name>.

Select Add User.

In the User Controls box, configure the user access permissions for the IIS websites as follows:
-
users=*: to allow access to all users
-
users=user1,user2,user3: to allow access to specific users such as, user 1, user 2, and user 3
-
roles=domain\group1,domain\group2: to allow access to specific roles such as, group1 and group 2
-
empty User Controls box: to deny permissions to all users

In the Server Root Address drop-down, select http or https as required and configure the port number as 8080.

In the Client Root Address drop-down, select http or https as required and configure the port number as 8084.
Note: It is recommended to use https for both the root addresses.

In the Client IIS Site Name, enter the web application name as seen in IIS (APAFrontEnd).

In the Server IIS Site Name, enter the name of the Web API as seen in IIS (APAWebAPI).

In the Configuration Data Path, enter the folder path where Admin user details and database connection information are stored.
Admin user details are saved in the C:\ProgramData\AVEVA\APA\WebApi\Data\UserData sub-folder, while database connection details are saved in the C:\ProgramData\AVEVA\APA\WebApi\Data\InitializationFiles sub-folder.

Select Configure.
The user access for AVEVA Production Accounting – Web is configured.
Important: It is mandatory to create an admin user (account) to manage configuration options. You can only create one Admin user.

Select Close.

Select Finish.

The installation is complete. The AVEVA Production Accounting – Web IIS website is created on the local machine.
Note: If the configurator does not launch, open the configurator manually and perform the configuration update procedure.

Restart the IIS server to stabilize and save the changes.

The configuration data path of AVEVA Production Accounting – Web is C:\ProgramData\AVEVA\APA\WebApi\Data.
New and existing users and URL can be configured in the Configurator window after the installation is complete. This configuration creates the necessary folder and files which are essential for the application to run properly.

Open the AVEVA Production Accounting – Web website and check your login credentials.
Once the application opens successfully, check if the following options are available:

Configurations — Establishes connection between the AVEVA Production Accounting database and AVEVA Production Accounting – Web. Only available to the Admin user.

Reports — Fetches the runtime reports of AVEVA Production Accounting from the database.

Diagnostic Reports — Fetches the diagnostic reports of AVEVA Production Accounting from the database.
