The following procedure describes how to create a new MS Access database and model

  1. From the Tools menu, select Option. The Options dialog box opens.

  2. First, make sure that under DB Provider, MSACCESS is selected.

  3. On the File/Database tab, locate the Database Path area.

  4. Click the command button to the right of the Database Path text entry box. The Select Database dialog box opens.

  5. Create a new database file by writing the new database file name. For example, NewDB.

  6. Click Open.

The new database file is created in the C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Roaming\AVEVA\AVEVAProductionAccounting\model directory unless you specifically navigate to another directory.

  7. Click OK to close the Options dialog box, and exit theAVEVA Production Accounting application.

When you start AVEVA Production Accounting again, the new database is read. The current, open database is shown in the Status Bar along the bottom of the Drawing Window. Initially, the canvas is blank since there is no model in the new database.
