User interface overview

The object-oriented graphics of AVEVA Production Accounting make it easy to create your own plant flow diagram. PFDs (process flow diagrams) and P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams) enable you to represent your plant as a drawing.

Drawing window

Most actions and operations are performed in the Drawing Window, where the drawing of your plant is shown.

Objects

All components of the model are termed objects. Objects are graphical representations of items of equipment. For example, we represent a distillation tower as a Process object. We also have Stream objects, Tank objects and so on. They are not just pictures, but act as a store for all data and methods associated with the item they represent.
