Common Results frame

These properties appear in the Common Results frame of the Balance Results tab.

  • Balance Status: The Balance Status is the result of data reconciliation for balance point objects such as process, node and tank objects. There are several different balance status values possible. See Balance Status values.

  • Set Inventory Difference Stream to OS when Active: This checkbox takes its initial value from the Set Inventory Difference Stream to OS when Active checkbox on the Design Info tab, when it is enabled, but you can edit this value for a specific event.

  • Missing Flow Exist: This checkbox takes its initial value from Missing Flow Exist checkbox on the Design Operation tab, but you can edit this value for a specific event.

  • Update Density from Tracking: This checkbox takes its initial value from Update Density from Tracking checkbox on the Design Operation tab, but you can edit this value for a specific event.

Mass and Volume tabs

These properties appear in the Mass and Volume tabs frame of the Balance Results tab.

These tabs contain, for either mass or volume respectively, three imbalance numbers.

Raw imbalance (measured)

The imbalance between the measured input and output streams. If any of the streams are unmeasured, and you have entered an estimated flow, this raw imbalance will be based on that estimated flow.

Raw imbalance (presumed)

Normally, this is the same as the raw imbalance, but if one or more of the streams connected to this process is unmeasured, the reconciled value will be used for that stream when calculating this imbalance for the process.

Reconciled imbalance

The reconciled difference, which will always be zero if the process could be balanced. It may, for instance, be nonzero if you had missing streams.
