Example for Rundown Stream Distribution from Feed Stream

The Rundown Stream Distribution from Feed Stream option is used when the feed streams to the process are constant (tolerance=0) and you want to distribute the rundown streams as the ratio of their measured values.

If you run data reconciliation with this option unchecked, the reconciled values for the rundown streams of the process will be normally by data reconciliation algorithms, meaning that any error found will be distributed to them as shown below.

In the above figure, the reconciled values of the process’s outputs are guaranteed to sum to equal the input stream, but there is no guarantee that the reconciled output values will be in any specific proportion to one another.

If you want to force the rundown streams to contain flow in the ratio of the measured values (45: 25: 30), check this option and then reconcile.

The reconciled value of the FT003 stream is the constant value of FT001 feed stream the ratio of rundown stream FT003 (= 110 * 45/(45+25+30)=49.5)
