The Balance menu item highlights the balance objects which are not balanced.
Balance status
The constant balance status (Pconst) means that the balance point object is not balanced because all connected streams are constant.
Similarly, the constant missing balance status (CMissing) means that the balance point object is not balanced because the balance envelope including this balance point consists of constant flows.
The constant density missing balance status (CDensMissing) is similar to CMissing but the imbalance is in the second balance type. It means that there is no imbalance in the primary balance type. Since the flows are constant, density must be wrong.
If missing flow detection is on, AVEVA Production Accounting finds out missing flow (Missing) within a certain criteria. The criteria to detect the tank with missing movements is that Abs((end inventory + output flows)–(start inventory + input flows))/(((end inventory + output flow)+(start inventory + input flows))/2) x 100 > (Balance point relative tolerance, %).
The following procedure describes how to validate the balance points in a selected period:
-
Select the DeBug menu.
-
On the DeBug menu, in the DeBug group, select Balance.
-
Select Yes.

-
Select the Start Date and End Date, then select Check.
-
Double click on a row to view the properties of a tank.

If the balance status of a tank is Problem Constant, then the tank cannot be balanced. The reconciled imbalance is zero, but thebalance envelope consists only of constant streams. The values cannot be altered to achieve a balance.
