  • 2 minute read

The Unit Summary report provides information about various processes within the unit, offering insights into both input and output streams. The report tracks the performance and efficiency of the system by comparing measured and reconciled mass flow rates and volumes and their respective yield percentages depending on the report type selected.

Unit Summary report adjusts dynamically to display relevant columns based on whether the mass or volume balance type is selected.

The following procedure describes how to query a Unit Summary report:

  1. Select Unit Summary.

The Unit Summary Report page appears.

  2. In the Unit Summary Report page, select and specify the following details:

    • From Date

    • To Date

    • Select Model

    • Select Sub Model

    • Balance type:

      • Mass

      • Volume

      • Both

  3. Select Get Report.

The Unit Summary Report details for the selected attributes appear.

    Unit_summary_detailed

The report is displayed in a detailed view in the Detailed Report tab by default.

  4. If you want to see a grid chart view of the report, select the Analytical View tab.

    Unit_summary_grid

The Unit Summary Report is displayed in a grid chart view where the percentage imbalances are represented using color gradients on severity:

    • Green (darker for lower values): <0.2% imbalance

    • Yellow (darker for higher values): 0.2–1% imbalance

    • Red (darker for higher values): >1% imbalance

If you select the Mass balance type, the %mass imbalance is displayed. The %mass imbalance is calculated using the following formulae:

Imbalance = Abs (End Reconciled Mass – Start Reconciled Mass)

      %Imbalance = Abs (Mass Imbalance / Start Reconciled Mass) × 100

If you select the Volume balance type, the %volume imbalance is displayed. The %volume imbalance is calculated using the following formulae:

Imbalance = Abs (End Reconciled Volume – Start Reconciled Volume)

      %Imbalance = Abs (Volume Imbalance / Start Reconciled Volume) × 100

If you select Both balance type, the %mass and %volume imbalance are displayed together.

    • If you want to see the stream details, in the chart view, select any relevant cell.

      Unit_summary_gridcell

The Unit Summary Details pop-up window appears displaying the associated stream details.
