Configure the interface source for PIAF

The following procedure describes how to configure the interface source:

1. On the Interface Source tab, add a new interface source.

2. Enter the interface source name.

3. On the Source Type dropdown list, select PIAF.

4. Select ... next to Source Type.

   The RTDB(Real Time Database) Connection dialog appears.

   

5. In the RTDB (Real Time Database) Information section, define the PIAF source with the following details:

   • Username: Username who has appropriate rights to access the PI server

   • Password: Password of the user of the PI Server

   • Server Name: Server Name where server is running for PI AF or PI Archive database

   • Database: PI Archive Database is selected by default.

     In the example shown in the screenshot below, PIAF is the RTDB Provider selected. PI Archive Database is selected by default.

6. Select Test Connection.

   Connection to PI Server is established if the color changes to green.

   After the connection is established as described above, all the accessible AF databases on the PI Server are listed in the dropdown.

7. Select a specific AF database to connect to the AF database.
